| Type Locality | 36 km south of Mamou, near the town of Linsan, Guinea. The biotope was in the Toukoudi River which drains into the Konkouré River. | ||

Has been regularly found in commercial fish exports from Conakry since 1992. | ||
| Breeding Notes | Similar to others in the fasciolatus group. Eggs are laid in top & bottom mops & take around 14 days of water incubation to hatch. Fry are quite large & able to take newly hatched brine shrimp. Sexual maturity takes about 6-7 months. | ||
