36 km south of Mamou, near the town of Linsan, Guinea. The biotope was in the Toukoudi River which drains into the Konkouré River.

Presently known to inhabit the area of the middle Konkouré River.

Shallow areas of creeks & small rivers.

Has been regularly found in commercial fish exports from Conakry since 1992.

Similar to others in the fasciolatus group. Eggs are laid in top & bottom mops & take around 14 days of water incubation to hatch. Fry are quite large & able to take newly hatched brine shrimp. Sexual maturity takes about 6-7 months.
