Found 3 kms south of the road junction of Bachou-Akagbé towards Manyemen in 1971 & March 1972. Collected by A.C.Radda. | |

Habitat
|
The biotope was a brook in a rainforest area
1·5 - 3·5 metres wide & 20 - 60 cm deep about 100
kms before the mouth of a river. Water temperature 23.5'C, air temperature
25°C, pH 5.7, DH 1 (some reports show DH 2), Humidity 90%. |

Traits
|
Distinguishing features include 2 red stripes on the dorsal fin. Edges of un-paired fins are blue/white. Large red spots on sides forming triangles on rear half of flanks. Stripes on front half behind eye. Anal fin has red spots not striped as other Nigerian populations. | |
